Mismatched Bridal Set
Share
Who says that your engagement and wedding band have to match.? Why not mix it up a bit by choosing different colored metals for each one or add textures on one of the rings.
This picture shows a recently completed bridal set of a diamond white gold engagement ring matched with a rose gold wedding band.
The diamond engagement ring was made in 14k palladium white gold with a 0.33ct/4.4mm recycled Harmony diamond set in a prong setting. The 3.5mm wide 14k rose gold wedding ring is a contoured shadow band, shaped to match the outside contoured of the engagement ring to fit snug against it.
I think it's a great look to add some subtle color to a bridal set. If both rings would have been the same color gold alloy the look would have been very different.
Many of my customers also choose mix and match textures in their bridal set's. Often the engagement ring is plain polished or matte finished and is combined with av textured wedding band that will match his wedding ring. I will put some examples together in another post.
