Star Dust Moissanite Palladium Bridal Ring Set
Share
Love the moissanite bridal ring set I completed last week.
The set consist of an engagement ring with a Moissanite center stone set in a semi or half bezel setting and a matching wedding band. The ring shank and wedding band are crusted with a star dust like texture of flush set small moissanites and tiny engraved circles.
I did take some progress pictures while doing all the stone setting. The engagement ring was cast in palladium and the wedding band was fabricated from palladium wire stock. Both were sized to fit and prepolised before starting the setting process. I first start flush setting the small moissanites in the wedding band and the sides of the engagement ring.
Drilling holes into the band where the moissanites go, then cut a seat for each one.
Flush setting the moisanites into the band. Then repeat the process for the engagement ring side stones.
After all small stones are set I used a beading tool in the air graver to apply the circle texture. Using the airgraver was a huge help as it made beautiful even beads and I did not slip either. No blood shed this time :) Beading tools do not leave nice clean entry wounds in fingers. Speaking from experience.
The air assist tool also cut down on the pain in my hands I usually get from doing this texture. Win on all fronts.
Almost finished, just needs the center moissanite set.
Setting the center moissanite with a Badeco hammer handpiece.
Once the stone is tight, bezel clean up can start by filing an even rim, smoothing out all hammer marks and cleaning up the inside of the bezel rim.
The finished ring set all polished up
Engagement rings and wedding bands from this Star Dust collection are available in my shop.
