Love how this recently finished engagement ring turned out. It has a beautiful celery green Portuguese cut Montana sapphire set in warm 14k Rose gold half bezel engagement ring.

Portuguese Cut Green Montana Sapphire Rose Gold Engagement Ring

Sapphire Spec:

Weight:   ~1.22 ct
Size:    6.25mm diameter
Shape:    round faceted
Clarity:     VS1  (Eye Clean - Very slight inclusions; inclusions can be seen under 10x magnification)
Treatment: Heated
Origin:     Montana, USA

The sapphire is sourced from Columbia Gem House, a true pioneer in the fair trade gem marketplace. Fair Trade Gems are closely tracked from mine to market to ensure that every gem has been handled according to these strict protocols. Using ethically sourced gemstones with recycled metals makes this an Eco-conscious engagement ring. It's a Fair Trade Level 1 Gemstone, the highest level available.

I still have other slightly smaller Portuguese cut Montana sapphires available like the 2 shown on the upper right in this video. They are a bit lighter in color than the pictured one set in the rose gold ring.

Prices for those to be set in a similar ring in different metal options are available here. Only available until they sell, which might go quickly. Those Portuguese cut Montana sapphires are hard to find and a rare cut for these types of stones.

Portuguese cuts have a slightly different facet design. I personally love this cut. It's looks great on colored gemstones and often results in a more interesting sparkle effect that the standard brilliant facet design.
The definition of that cut: There are many variations of the Portuguese cut. It originally referred to round stones with 96 facets on the pavilion and 81 facets on the crown for a total of 176. There are variations with fewer facets but still far more than the 58 of a standard round brilliant typical of diamonds.
