Holidays are just around the corner

The holidays are approaching really quickly. Hard to believe Thanksgiving and Hanukkah are only 20 days away and Christmas eve is in only 7 weeks. It is not easy getting into the Holiday spirit living in Los Angeles. The weather here just does not fit. Today is is 84°F beach weather! That does not get me into any Holiday mood.  Even Christmas decorations look out of place here.

Growing up in Germany Holiday season always meant cold weather, some gray rainy days, occasionally even some snow. I loved when Christmas markets opened mid November and everyone was outside meeting friends and huddling up with some warm spiced wine. I do miss German Gluehwein, Eggnog isn't the same.

Knowing that these upcoming weeks can be really stressful for me trying to get all orders out in time, I set Holiday order deadlines early this year. My current turnaround time for made to order rings (which is most of my business) is 4-5 weeks before they ship. Add a few days for shipping in and that brings us really close to Christmas eve deadline. Plus many people needing it earlier since they travel to their families a few days ahead of Christmas.

Here the Holiday Order deadline:

• Hanukkah deadline: ready to ship without resizing: order by November 22, with resizing: no later than November 17th.
• To receive your orders by Christmas Eve, orders for Made to Order rings and bracelets must be placed by November 16th.
• For ready to ship items without resizing: last order date is December 15, 2013
• Ready to ship rings that need resizing: last order day is December 8th, 2013
• These deadlines are for orders shipped within the USA, no guarantees for international orders. International shipping is unpredictable and varies widely depending on each country.

If you were planning to wait until Black Friday to make your purchase, you are pretty much too late for most of my designs. I only have very few rings in stock and only in few sizes. I will go through my inventory in the next days and try to list everything in my Etsy stores that's ready to ship.
